OK you guys -- I knew I was going to cry at this episode, and even as sketchy as the acting was in some places (hey Emma "SEAN YOU SAVED MY LIFE!" Nelson, I'm looking at you), I did. Fortunately, it wasn't all-out sobbing or anything, but when Ellie said "I love you" my eyes got all watery and my friend made fun of me. This makes three episodes of TV I have cried at this year: the season finale of "The O.C.," the Ellie's a cutter! episode, and this one.

I loooove Ellie and Sean together and it frustrates me that from what I can tell, it looks like we're either not seeing any more of Sean (or only in a Very Special Cameo) or else a developing Sean/Emma/you know who triangle. I think that Ellie and Sean's relationship makes the most sense out of any the show has ever depicted, and they fit well together. I loved Paige and Spinner and I even loved Emma and Sean together, but Emma and Sean made sense as a first love/puppy love kind of thing. They've both changed a lot -- him for the better, her for the not so much better -- and I don't see him willing to put up with Emma's drama anymore. I hope they don't sacrifice the Ellie/Sean relationship, which has been really believable and really sweet, for a return to the Emma/Sean relationship which just doesn't make sense anymore. Although I have to say that I am not against the idea of having some drama and shaking things up a little before we get there.

And if Sean IS leaving the show, they need to find a way for Ellie to be happy. She deserves it! And I'm not just saying that because she's my favorite female character! Come on -- alcoholic mom, gay boyfriend, the cutting . . . Sean was the one really good thing that's happened to her in the past year and now she's not even going to have that.
