Just to make you feel better (even though i know the answer is in a thread somewhere else) to edit your own post, just click on the little piece of paper with a pen icon on top of your message as it appears in the thread. you'll have the option or edit or delete your post.
i haven't been able to master the bold thing either. i gave up trying
