It actually did raise a new point for me. I knew this was an issue we used to divide ourselves, however, I did not know other races had joined in the debate. It may be naive of me, but I didn't think someone of another race would even have the nerve to speak about this issue to other blacks let alone write and article about it. I know whenever I watch the show, I always root for the blacks whether I think they are beautiful or not. This season I did the same, but in all honesty I have to agree with Tyra. The two top girls happened to be black. Not once did I think about Eva being more approachable because she appeared to be mixed, and I definately didn't think she won because of it. I also think that YaYa lost not because of her darker skin tone or her nappy hair but because of her attitude.
EXACTLY!! I ALWAYS root for the Black person. The way I see it, if I don't no one will. But anyway, I also didn't think of Eva as more approachable. If we look back, Eva was the farthest thing from approachable. YaYa was always "centered" and approachable. Over time, they did change roles and Eva became a better person. I just think that YaYa is competitve and competition got the best of her. Reminds me of April last year. It wasn't sp much that she wanted to be a model, she just wanted to WIN.
