I used Fizz-Ease serum before towel drying & Back to Basics vanilla bean gel. I'm pretty risky with my hair & willing to try things so I say perm it!

I never thought I would say this - but I'm bored of my hair TOO!!! It's getting pretty long right now, but I'm kinda sick of my hair - straight in one place, wavy in the other...what kind of perm did you get
Heidi? And is it hard maintenance (i.e., do you have to re-touch the roots every few months, how costly is it, etc.)? I also heard that when you get a perm you have to buy a whole new set of hair care products. Do you have any that you would like to recommend?
I want loose waves, basically to balance out my straight-hair-here, wavy-hair-there!
Turtlegirl, did you end up perming your hair after all? And if so, which type of perm - and is it hard maintenance, which products did you end up using (basically the same questions that I had for Heidi)?
Sorry for so many questions, girls! Thanks for reading
