Exactly!

If they tried that, I would surely ask, "Where's my 19 cents?" It's mine, so I should have the right to decide what to do with it.

If you are working in the service industry as an adult, then you should be aware that everyone does not tip well (or at all...busters). It's a risk you take in that position. If you're employer has not installed a policy of automatically including the tip in the bill, then you still shouldn't have the gumption to ask for the tip. Earn the tip.
