I remember as well - I was in university in class and our sociology professor came in just shaking and crying - it was really traumatic for everyone, especially as most of the women who died were my age.

Most would have been between 32 and 35 now - In 15 years, these women would have done so many things like graduate, get married (divorced!), had children, had jobs they loved, and still be with their families.

I wear my white ribbon with pride and rememberance, and hope of the end of violence against women.

I remembered that day...I had just gotten home from writing my exams before the Christmas break. It really was shocking and is still shocking. It's basically Canada's Columbine.
