One of my best friend's was born on x-mas (hence her name and spelling: Christin
) Anyway, I went out of my way to get her 2 separate gifts last year.. a picture frame (that i made as holiday gifts for all of my friends) and an actual birthday gift.
she was really happy that i separated her bday from the holidays..
eta: my bfs bday is about a month after xmas... and this year i asked if hed rather get separate gifts, or one giant gift for our 2 yr anniv (sept), xmas (dec) and his 21st (jan) and he went for the big gift... so i got him a 40gb ipod
but ill still give him something little (like truffles) for xmas and something cheap but personal for his bday too
