This thread is a trip! lol
When we decided to re-activate the Psi Phi chapter at Tenn State, I can't really say we had many problems with Panhell orgs, being that there was at least one representative (with the exception of Kappa...they were suspended) of the panhell orgs who had expressed sincere interest in joining.
Honestly, we've never concerned ourselves with what outsiders thought. We went from being "unknown" to having the largest fraternity on campus (and no, we don't accept just anybody), aquiring the positions of Student Government President, Editor and Chief of the schools paper, Editor and Chier of the Year Book staff, PRESIDENT of the Panhellenic Council, and a brother served as head drum major all in one year. Along with our numerous service hours, I'm sure y'all can clearly see who ran the yard.
There's a million and ten other things I would like to say, but do to time constraints, I'll just say this. When our chapter has events, the students are there. When we have Greek Mixers, the Greeks are there. When we conduct service projects, our members are there! With that being said, let those who are ignorant to our fraternity talk. While they are pondering the legitmacy of APO, you take that time and work even harder for the frat. Don't get caught up in the ignorance of others. Educate them if you can, but other than that, please keep on keeping on.
Shortfuse, I enjoyed reading your comments and replies. However, do keep in mind that this is the Alpha Phi Omega board. When entering this board, please have a level of respect on your mind before you type a single stroke! Thanks in advance.
Epitome: You came through on a respectful level. As a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. You have every right to come in and post when you see your sorority's name mentioned. However, there may not be a such thing as Zeta Phi Beta Sigma. However, try telling my aunt that...she only pledged Zeta in the early forties.
Out!
