As to whether it will work, that really depends on the manner in which it is presented when the school sends out packets to the freshmen. If it's done nicely, it might help...if it's something that the school just tacks on the back of the student activities brochure, it will look like crap and probably be ineffective. Remember if there is any anti-Greek sentiment on the part of the administration, leaving the final signoff in their hands could be disastrous.

Try contacting the Greek Affairs office of a big Greek school like LSU or U of Illinois and see how they do this and what sort of costs there are. (that would be relative to the # of orgs and the school of course)

About what percentage of students stay on campus on the weekends? If you are at a "suitcase campus" it is going to be hard to get students involved. They have to stay there a weekend or 2 to get involved....and if they aren't involved they won't stay a weekend...the endless circle. If this is a problem the WHOLE campus has to deal with it. It makes me mad when schools see this happening and don't care as long as they are getting their tuition money.

A rush database form on your site is definitely a good idea. There are women who won't go to a rush party but would feel more comfortable filling out a form online. It helps get things started.
