. The thing that I learned about recurring dreams is that you must do something to stop them from occuring yet again! I don't know, maybe you need true closure or something

Also, there were numerous dream analysts that said that sometimes, the person(s) who is in your dream (your ex in this case) can be actually a symbol for someone else, or some THING, too! Maybe not all the time, but he could represent something else, too. Same thing for a symbol (for example, a chair can represent your best friend, etc.)!
