For the most part I liked it.. the beginning was like
E.T., the middle like
Brazil and the ending was like a combo of
2001: A Space Odyssy &
Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
It was
totally the story of Pinocchio. There wasn't nearly enough attention given to why there was a battle against the mecha's and orga's in the first place.
And I adored Jude Law's character!! Aside from being just plain hot, his character was really great. I think Speilburg was too afraid to use him to his potentiol, since he's basically a robot built to be a jigaloo.
Once the voice-over started near the end Spielburg took over too much. It should have just ended there... not been so sugar-coated.
Somebody there took a kid
.. who immediately started crying when things got dark. So, just an FYI... NOT A KIDS MOVIE!!!
