I just re-read this thread, and had to tell y'all something:
I was at work about a month ago or so, and as someone was leaving, she said, "Bye bye!" (no tune or anything) To the surprise of my coworkers, I burst out into "Bye bye, bye bye, wipe a tear, baby dear, from your eye..."
Ah, there really is something to that
