everyone has given such good advice. brenda(tri-sigma) beat me to it!! i was also going to say that most sororities require their members to belong to at least one other organization, so being involved on campus is important. as brenda said, by joining a club you will have the opportunity to meet and make friends with both greeks and non-greeks, and you never know where your club connection might lead you. connections and networking certainly cannot hurt.

while directly contacting the presidents or recruitment chairs might be okay on some campuses, i don't know how it would go over on yours. while some people might be flattered by the interest shown, other people might feel it is pushy. a safer way to go would be to strike up a conversation with classmates you know are in a sorority, on the lines that brenda suggested. good luck to you and keep us posted! lisa
