Agreed! Again, I really didn't mean to get you upset by my post. All I said to MadeNupe in reference to his Alpha founder post, was that "if" he was talking about homosexuality (I specified "if" in my original post just in case), then he will be truly heartbroken to know how many of the NPHC members in my and his fraternity are homosexuals. He might not have been talking about it, but he did say the founders defied manhood. I didn't say that to say that all Kappas are gay. I was just saying if his reason for not joining Alpha had to do with it, then he is in for a sad awakening -and needed to be educated on that fact.
The other remarks were not made to throw up in anybody's face who was first or who started what. But it was to educate MadeNupe on the fact that although his fraternity was started in the midwest, it did so with the influence of the greeks at Howard -being that the his two founders that had the ideal of fraternity had just recently transferred from Howard. Educational, not meant to be offensive. I wanted to wake him up out of his fantasy world, that's all - not to offend you are members of your esteemed organization.
Again, I appreciate you finally putting a disclaimer on MadeNupe's remarks, because as the old adage goes, "silence equates consent." Meaning if you don't say anthing about it, then we just might assume you agreed with it. Like a mother letting her child curse at an adult, not saying anything to the child. The first thing that would be said, is why did you let your child curse me out. Silence equals consent, unfortunately that is what we believe in our society.
