The thing that gets me, is that if you're a convicted felon you lose various rights depending on where you live. I'll use voting as an example. If an elected official can't vote, I really don't think having them representing people is a good idea.

Doesn't matter to me that it is DeLay, if it was anyone wouldn't it just be a better move to resign or step down? After the California governor debacle, seems that the voters would have just cause to recall him. This isn't not paying parking tickets, or for being intoxicated in public which are misdemeanors, it is a felony, and how could he serve his time and his elected duties?
