I applied for a job in Connecticut, and although I would love to move that close to New York (without actually BEING in New York!) I'm very very very nervous about moving that far from my parents (basically, just south of Charlotte, NC). I need a little encouragement. Has anyone done this recently? Does anyone know someone in Connecticut that would be good for me to get in contact with? Also, I know cost of living is higher, but what other than apartments (and taxes) is higher? I mean, grocery stores still sell food just as cheap, right?
