We had a situation like this with a member, although the boyfriend had the decency to not mention to anyone what she said (he just confirmed to me that she had told him and we let it drop after that). I don't believe anything was done as far as punishment goes, but the girl ended up transferring later that year anyway. She lost a lot of friends because of it. It sucks when the "golden child" of the chapter does something wrong and people turn a blind eye to it.
