I'm from the Deep South (North Florida=Lower Alabama). It really surprises me that women here will go in full makeup during the summer! I tried it here after a winter away (I go to school in RI), and it made me feel yicky! It's pretty easy to get used to cooler weather, but I digress.

Clothing: Pastels. I wear pastels ALL THE TIME. I've never really been into capris, so I can't endorse those. Here, thong sandals are very popular.

Plus, I've noticed that outward "status" symbols are more common in the South (at least among youngsters). I see more tee shirts emblazoned with emblems here than I see up North. I'm not saying that you should dress like that or anything, but it was a culture shock. Just preparin' ya...
