No kiddies here so I'll brag about my pets (well, my roomie's and boyfriend's pets but I'm around them a lot so they're mine!).
Conan- My boyfriend's Rat Terrier. This dog is really my first child. One of the smartest dogs I've ever met. He is incredibly well-behaved. If we give him a command, he immediately listens. He is also the sweetest dog. My boyfriend lives in Atlanta so I see him every few weeks. Conan definitely misses me. As soon as I arrive at my boyfriend's place, Conan will attack me with his kisses. Also, if my boyfriend is on the phone with me, Conan will jump on his lap and try to nudge his ear into the phone. I'm the only person that my boyfriend talks to that Conan will do that with. He misses his mommy.

Conan is full of energy and really hyper which I love in a dog.
Buddy- My roommate's adorable long, red-haired Dachshund. We call him Prince Buddy because he's a little bit prissy and snooty. He's constantly preening himself and he gets really upset if another dog (usually her boyfriend's Jack Russell) will try to snuggle up with us while Buddy is on our laps. If he gets mad at you for giving another dog attention, he'll go sit far away and turn his back to you and won't listen to your commands for about 10 minutes. We still love him, though! He knows how to play the piano. My roommate will put Buddy in front of one of those Playskool baby pianos and she'll say, "PLAY!!!!" Buddy will hit his little paw against the piano which makes the most awful, off-tune sounds. Of course, we sit there and say, "That's so pretty, Buddy!" as we hand him treats.
Jacky- My family's cat. She's a mutt that we got from the pound. Her tail was broken when she was little (before we got her) so her tail is in a zig-zag pattern. She use to be a really hyper cat but she's old and fat now. She doesn't do much of anything but sit in this one corner of my house where the light shines in the most. Keeps her warm, I guess. She hates my father. Whenever he walks over to her, Jacky will let out a loud "MEEEOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!" and run away. Other than that, she hardly ever moves unless it's to get food or go to the litter box. Of course, when I'm home, she'll come over to me and jump on my lap and start purring.

I don't think she realizes how allergic I am to her. She's also dumb as rocks. We'll sometimes put her out on the patio which she loves since she gets direct sunlight out there. She has fallen in our pool countless times. She'll drink water right out of it (although her water bowl is out there) and she'll slip right in. Before she got fat, she was able to pull herself out but now she just sits there until someone can rescue her. My dad always saves her life but she still hates him.

Maybe she's suicidal and is pissed that my dad foils her plans.
