I have ran a few in charlotte and never gotten anything about it. My friend says that they run out of film really quick and are not replaced.
The worst thing is you pay the $50. My friend's dad got all kinds of freebies (coffee mug, t shirt) when he ran one, but it was right when they came out.
I think you can appeal your ticket and explain the situation
