I have to brag about my dog, Silver. He's soooo smart and just like they say about Schnauzers (he's a silver/salt&pepper Standard, by the way ), they have well developed behaviors just like humans. My parents are "raising" him, as I am away at school and he has become quite the new youngest child. He has (in the last few weeks):

* Taken a protein bar out of the wrapper and ate it. And I don't mean chewed it while still in the wrapper, I mean peeled off the wrapper FIRST and then ate it! He's bad, but still, you gotta give him some credit...

* Toilet-papered the house without breaking the roll even once. He went all the way from the guest bathroom on the main floor, through the foyer, up the stairs (17 stairs!) and into my old bedroom and across the bed!

*Learned to open his door! This is a big deal because the door to his room is heavy and he's not that big! But at least he's learned how to get out if he has to (i.e. strangers in the house who he's not comfortable with and protecting my niece and nephew)--and now he can get into more stuff while my parents aren't home!

******On a good note, has learned to wake both my parents at different times to not only get them started for the day, but also to take him for a walk (my mom did a 3-Day for Breast Cancer, and they've been on a roll ever since!)

I know it seems lame, but I miss my puppy and can't wait for him to show me all the new stuff he's learned since I've been gone!
