I've gotta agree with all my Southern folk on the "Coke" issue. Its a Coke, no matter what you're drinking!
I know I'm a bit of Southern accent mixed with some New Orleans. The more I'm in Baton Rouge the more of a drawl I get, I think. Its amazing. BR and NO are 90 miles apart, but worlds and worlds away from each other!
I've determined that the closer you live to New Orleans, the more you slur the words. Hence, locals saying it like "nawlins." And you can always tell the tourists, because they say "New Or-leeens"
