Isn't this the biggest voter turnout ever? Isn't it *probably* safe to assume that Kerry got the most votes ever for a "losing" Presidential candidate? (Again, I haven't seen numbers, but it just stands to reason I think - anyone know?) I understand it's the truth, but I heard someone from the Bush camp saying that the most votes ever "proves" how much the country is behind Bush. Now, if he had won a landslide popular vote of 60+% I would agree with that, but at 51%-48%? That doesn't prove the country is behind him I don't think. I guess I've just heard so much spin lately that I felt this claim was a silly stretch.
Again, I know "my" guy lost but I'm not trying to stir anything up. Just trying to discuss...Please try to do so nicely.
