It's certainly not; you're quite right about that.
Childish and insulting titles or posts are, however, more likely to be treated as reflecting childish and insulting thoughts. If one wants to be taken seriously, one should avoid insults or childishness.
Intelligent, informed people of goodwill can differ on
(a) who would be the better president for our country at this time,
(b) whether the war in Iraq was justified or not,
(c) whether the war in Iraq is helping or hurting the war on terrorism,
(d) whether Bush or Kerry would do better with the economy, or
(e) insert whatever other issue you want to.
Who's right? We'll probably have to wait for history to tell us. In the meantime, I might disagree with those who voted differently from me, but I don't assume that they are less intelligent, less informed or less patriotic than I am just because they came to a different conclusion than I did.
Unless, of course, they do something that makes me wonder whether they've really put some thought into it or have just jumped on whatever bus suits them. "Real Greeks Vote Bush"? That gets about as much credence from me as "Real Americans Vote Kerry," "Real Christians Vote Buchanan," or "Only Idiots Vote Clinton/Nader/Bednarik/whoever."
