Not to be too self promoting, but has she though about the University of South Alabama?? We have a really great Honor's Student Program (of which I am a part) and we have one of the best Pre-Med programs. I am not in the Pre-Med program myself, but a lot of my HP friends are. One of the best things about the university is that they don't allow grad students to teach (although they can teach labs). Anyway - USA is a good school and not too large or too small. And compared to the cost of the other schools you are looking at (I was considering Emory for a while), it is a bargain! (USA also has a BMD major - Biomedical Sciences) OK, my self promotion is over!
