“Yet another poll shows Republican David Vitter comfortably ahead in Louisiana's U.S. Senate race, but still short of the 50 percent-plus-one vote he needs to avoid a December runoff.
The survey of 637 registered voters, conducted Oct. 17-22 by Southeastern Louisiana University, gives Vitter 43 percent of the vote, with Democrat Chris John in second place with 18 percent. Democrat John Kennedy is in third place with 10 percent, followed by state Rep. Arthur Morrell, D-New Orleans, with 1 percent. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.”
Vitter (R) – 43%
John (D) – 18%
Kennedy (D) – 10%
Morrell (D) – 1%
