People
are stupid. I have worked in fast food, restaurants and retail most of my working life. Now I work at a copy shop, but there's definately a retail aspect to it.
My favorite, yet most annoying, is when customers disagree with you (as someone already mentioned). Like they will ask me all about products and services we offer. When I tell them the machine capabilities, or certain limitations of products, they proceed to disagree for sometimes 20 minutes. You know, I am a
trained professional.

I
do have a clue as to how our machines work.
Older men (mid 40's and up) are the
worst about this. I think they think I am just a dumb girl. Sometimes I just want to kick them!
The other annoying thing is when people flip out about the price. Yes, having us custom-design something on the computer and then print out a huge full-color sign
is that much. No, there are
no deals for "frequent customers" (Even though I work here at least 40 hours/week and have never seen you in my life).
And then sometimes people flat out lie to your face and you know it and you just want to call them on it.

But of course, you have to make them happy and be all polite to them ("No, Mr. so-and-so. I was working here then and it still cost that much..")
I'd better stop ranting...
