The two theatres that had their grand opening today showed the first showing at 7:55 AM (yes folx I said AM) to coincide with the actual bombing itself. Theatre-goers were actually lined up before 5AM!
I read our local morning newspaper and there was an article about how critics bashed the movie because it was "inaccurate" and "does not really tell the stories of the survivors." I personally haven't seen it yet (I'm going tonight), but I've heard nothing but positive reviews from my friends and colleagues.
Despite Ebert's scathing remarks, I still can't wait to see it tonight. The only positive review came from the LA Times. Sometimes I wonder how these darn critics ever got hired in the first place.
