This is long...sorry!
The worst thing that ever happened to me was on Christmas Eve, I was coming home from a friends' house, on a poorly lit, curvy backroad and some guy starts tailgating me. He never tries to pass me, turning on his brights from time to time. On the straight aways of the road, he pulls into the oncoming lane of traffic to match speeds with me, never trying to pass. He pulls back behind me when the road got curvy. I did not have a cell phone with me, so I couldn't call for help. I couldn't tell if he was trying to get me to pull over or something else.
The road to my house was coming up, so I turned down it, hoping this idiot would let me go. He didn't. He turned down the road, too. I then decided I was not going to let this person know where I live, so I decided to head towards town to the grocery store, where I could get help. I drove to the grocery store, with him following me the entire way. I parked, jumped out of my car, ready to run into the store, when the driver who had been following me stopped, rolled down his window, looked at me and said,
"Oh, I thought you were someone else" and took off.
I returned to my car and cried for at least 10 minutes. I never got the guy's license plate, just a general description of the car and the driver. When I told my parents, my dad marched down the street to our neighbor's house, who is a policeman, and told him.
One of the scariest moments of my life!!
