LL and Queen Latifah to make a remake together
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - LL Cool J is going to take a paid holiday.
The rapper, nee James Todd Smith, has signed on to star opposite Queen Latifah in the remake of "Last Holiday," the 1950 British film starring Alec Guinness, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the original "Holiday," Guinness plays an average man who doesn't have long to live and decides to use all his savings to spend his final days in a swanky resort where he somehow is mistaken for a wealthy eccentric. The updated version stars Queen Latifah as a shy clerk who vacations in Europe after discovering she's terminally ill. LL Cool J will play an ex-con who has a secret crush on her character.
"Maid in Manhattan" director Wayne Wang will begin shooting this fall.
LL Cool J recently starred in "Deliver Us From Eva" and "S.W.A.T." His upcoming films include "Mindhunters," "Edison" and "Slow Burn."
