Although I have major respect for Dr. Ortiz, I'm not fully in agreement with this statement. I recognize and appreciate the fact that if it weren't for the BGLOs, many of us (other cultural GLOs) would not exist. I also acknowledge that many elements of BGLOs exist within LGLOs and other cultural GLOs. As an LGLO member, I wouldn't say that I look toward BGLO members for acceptance, but rather for mutual respect as organizations who serve their respective communities.
