Oh geez, lemme see if my Iota Gamma history engine is running up to snuff....chartered in 1962....one of 4 fraternities on campus....lost our charter once in the late 70's because they tarred and feathered a pledge....apparently the pledge survived the tarring and feathering ok...but didn't fare too well when the actives tried to clean him off with gasoline and was put in the hospital....different fraternities started popping up on campus....we were suspended AGAIN in the 80's for some members growing marijuana in the house....during the late 90's, they lost the house to string of bad decisions like adding an annex on the house without putting a foundation under the annex....spending money that was supposed to go to the mortgage on beer and parties....we are currently on our third fraternity house....we are now one of 14 social fraternities on campus with a population of about 6,000 students with a 40/60 guy/girl ratio...membership declined because of our bad reputation on campus...and now we are starting to rebuild....Its kind of sad to see the decline of population on our composites from the early 80's to the late 90's...but we're working on turning that around now...
