I don't think I can agree with you on that one. I don't know what kind of car you have/had, but both of mine were foreign. I guess that would explain it.
1. If you are in SERIOUS traffic with a standard, it EATS up the gas!
2. Having to replace the CLUTCH and fix the TIMING isn't a minor thing.
I had 2 cars back to back that were standard, yeah, while you are young, it's fun to drive, but right now, I want to put that sucker in "D" and go on about my business.
