I agree with Hootie. After a long week of rush whe you are selling your sisterhood, getting new members and immediatly running out to drink sends the message that you can only have fun when boys & booze are involved. Which I doubt is true.
Not to mention having a social right away sets you up for so much liability. You don't know these girls very well and they don't know you. Once they affiliate you are responsible for their safety. I would spend some time teaching them about the values of your group, and appropiate behavior when you go out representing your group.
Just curious, what school are you at?? As someone who was part of a local sorority I know it is a pain the butt to follow NPC rules however with time I learned there is generally a method to the madness!!
