We have rats and mice commit suicide in our pool all the time. I don't know how or why but they usually end up in the skimmer with no fur. YUCKY!!!
Last winter we got a bat in our house around Halloween. I am sure he was more afraid than I was but I locked myself outside until someone was able to catch him. I just don't like how close they will fly at you before they change course. In the summer when we eat outside we get buzzed by them constantly.
