My mother was in Boston in 1986 during the World Series. My mom cheered for the Mets in a bar in Boston. It was nearly the last thing that she ever did. Her friends rushed her out. No joke.
The funny thing is she cheers for anyone who plays against the Yankees. She's really a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
