Cool thread.
I was sitting at a great restaurant Papa's in LB when my boyfriends dad stands up to shake a mans hand. I figured it was an old coot from his oil platform so I take a huge bite of my tri-tip sandwich & look up. Standing there was my idol, Tommy Lasorda! I was floored! I tried to say hello & ended up choking on my sandwich.
What an impression. He was so nice though & I still cherish that memory.
