EXACTLY!! What was the point for her? She's not an A list celebrity that we see on the news everyday. So, did she really have a 'rep' to protect. They could have done just as well to keep her in hiding until the baby was born or something like that. I just don't see why this was needed, especially if the dude bounced anyway. I mean, wasn't that the whole point of the sham marriage, so they could look like a happy couple that wanted to be together to raise their child?
