Hmm.. I think somewhere around the beginning of Jr. High I "borrowed" an old lipstick from my mom's bathroom drawer -- I'd put it on secretly in my room, wear it around a little and then wipe it off. I always had chapstick and lipgloss though.
When I was in Jr. High a lot of girls wore really really dark lipstick and lined it in an even darker color (a la "roastbeef lips" as I called them). I remember in 9th grade I used to wear white eyeliner and body glitter (AAHH!! What was I thinking?) and my best friend would wear gobs of black eyeliner and blue eyeshadow... scary.
When I was 13 my mom took me to the clinique counter to get makeup for my bat mitzvah -- and she forced me to wear lipstick "so it would look good in the pictures." I HATE LIPSTICK and still never wear any. (However, I have a bunch of lipsticks from free-gift things, and because I used to work at Ulta and bought 4 Oil of Olay light shimmery lipsticks because they came out to 6 cents each after my discount -- we stopped carrying them and had them on superclearance).
Now I wear brown eyeliner on the bottom, blush (I'm really pale) and taupe eyeshadow. I curl my eyelashes if I have extra time, and add L'Oreal black/brown mascara. I don't wear foundation-- still haven't mastered the art of applying it (you can always tell if I'm wearing it) but luckily I've always had clear skin. Still workin' on learning to cover those undereye circles
Have any of you used Tony&Tina universal color dust? ITS AMAZING! You can use it as eyeshadow or mix the pigment into nail polish or lip gloss -- it's extremely vibrant and comes in beautiful colors. I like energy trail (an irridescent beige) and a light green one.
(I have L'oreal mascara, clinique blush/concealer/liquid foundation, ulta eyeshadow, prestige eyeliner, lancome powder foundation)
