I wouldn't think your computers being on would make that big of a difference. Mine's only a laptop, though, so maybe I'm not the best example, but my monthly electric is $25/month. Granted, I think Charlotte may be slightly higher, because one of the girls at work pays $50/month and she probably uses her electric about the same amount as me. Point being, I always turn off ALL my lights when I don't need them (open windows whenever I can, etc...) and keep my air off until I get uncomfortable. But I do keep my computer on all the time, and it is charging unless I'm watching a DVD, when I move it to the coffee table. Obviously your utilities will be higher b/c you don't live in a small one bedroom apartment, though.
