I have tried to ask him to go to his doctor and at least find out some information about all the new treatments they have, like getting shots every month for a year or two and being cured! But, he keeps putting it off and it makes me sad. Anyone have any suggestions?

Our landlady let us have our ferret in our rented apartment -- here is my spiel on ferrets -- they are very smart, potty trainable (very easily), and a ton of fun!! Cons - they have 2 speeds -- wide open and asleep, but usually wide open. Some smell - ours does not. They like to be in groups -- I ended up with an anti-social ferret so he's solo but this is unusual. You also have to ferret proof your house (they don't call it "ferreting out" for nothing).
They are really great pets though - we couldn't love our Hobbes more if we tried. Check out this site:

Email me if you want to, also - I just cannot imagine my life without Hobbes -- but ferrets do require a bunch of love and attention so be prepared.
