That's pretty cracked out. Say you took a 5 credit chem class and got an A, and a 3 credit lit class and got an A.

5 x 4 = 20 pts for chem
3 x 4 = 12 pts for lit

32 pts / 8 credits = 4.0 GPA

The way you get above a 4.0 is if your school does some sort of weighted grade sytem,, like alloting a 4.5 or a 5 for an A in an honors seminar.
