I think this man knew he was shooting his wife, and not a monkey. The article said she used a "ladder" to climb the tree. I may be wrong, but we all know that monkeys do not use ladders to climb trees
Think about it... if you walked outside and saw a ladder against the tree, and then see something big moving around in the tree, wouldn't you think that a "HUMAN" climbed the ladder and was in the tree??? Monkeys just don't use ladders to climb trees.
I think he should have thought of a better excuse.
