The cat didn't suck out the breath. That was the little troll. The cat saved the little girl.
A movie that scared me as a child was Lady in White. I watched it recently and it still freaked me out!
Also, one of the Tales from the Darkside movies (the one with the mummy in one story and the gargoyle in another) REALLY messes with me.
