Well there are a lot of people in the industry that made good films and lots of money and never attended film school.
That being said: I would recomend anyone go to film school if you know you want to make films prior to your undergrad.
IT also makes sense to attend film school in a major market such as LA and NYC. You pay for the contacts even more than the education.
