Every single school district in the state has had to take at least two days off; luckily Governor Bush has waived the 180-day instruction rule for the counties worst hit by Ivan. Escambia and Santa Rosa counties have no idea when they can get back into school. The University of West Florida is closed indefinitely.

Losing 4 student holidays just doesn't seem so bad in comparison. At least most students have a school to go back to.
