Hi sisters, just thought I'd give you an update. My surgery got pushed up to Tuesday (9/21) due to some scheduling conflicts my surgeon had. Everything went well, I was in the hospital over night on Tuesday and am now home recovering. Turns out the cyst was neither cancerous or endometrosis but just a hemmoraged cyst that was blocking the ovary thus causing the large amounts of pain I would experience. They had to take out 3/4 of my left ovary but I guess 1.25 ovaries is still better than just one
and they say I should have no trouble conceiving later on. I have a 10 cm scar on my lower abdominal area (same as a cesarian) which isnt as bad as I thought it would be but the pain was pretty bad the first 24 hrs after surgery. I cant imagine what a cesarian is like, seriously I have a new found respect for all new moms who have to go through that. I can hardly take care of myself much less a new born baby!
Thanks again for all your support and help, I was pretty stressed out last week and my family was just as worried. It's times like this you realize who is really there for you and I'm very grateful for all the support I've received.
