I don't mean to intrude on your forum, but had this not been posted, I wanted to mention Dr. McDavis' appointment to you. There was an excellent article about him in Ohio Today, the university alumni magazine which arrived yesterday.
I was on the Athens campus at the same time (1965-69), and my wife was also a Class of '70 member who never had a commencement. Our first OU graduation was when our daughter graduated in 1999.
I will have the honor of introducing Dr. McDavis at a marching band alumni dinner (the band is a huge deal at OU) during Homecoming Weekend next month, and am looking forward to meeting him with great anticipation.
I am most impressed and highly supportive of his plans for Ohio University, and it will be great to have a greek alumni leading the institution.
Congratulations to him and to all of the men of your fraternity.
