Okay, I'll change my post - unless this guy is about 7 foot tall of solid muscle, he WAS raped in prison - many more times than that little liar was! I know people who are involved in prison ministry (including my brother, when he was in seminary), and it's VERY rare for a man not to get raped in prison. In fact, the prevading odor of a prison is the smell of feces.

Part of my job is interviewing people for entry-level companion and nurses aide jobs. A good half of them have some sort of record. I get to tell them that I can't help them find a job until they've completed parole and retraining. Being a companion or nurses aide is not exactly a dream job - yet, someone with a record within 7 years cannot be placed.

The $22 per day (for 17 years, that would be $136,510.00) is just the tip of the iceberg. Think of all the court costs, for the DA, for the judge, for the defending attorney, and the various other costs.

Lastly, do I have to state what a dangerous precident this sets?
