My new kitten, Tolstoy was left on the doorstep of a no-kill animal shelter. He was really a great find for me. He's a solid black full-bred main coon 
Anyhow, I'd turn them over to a no-kill animal shelter if I couldn't find them homes.
Start asking around right now though.

*nods* The shelter where I got Phydeaux is a no-kill shelter. My roommate rescued Flaquita from a cramped cage at a pet store. Our goal is to find homes amongst our network of friends so that we know the cats will be well-cared for, but if we cant adopt them all out that way, then they will go to the Ames shelter.
